You can opt to edit the registry manually or use a utility program that will do the edit for you. Registry edits should be considered for the advanced computer user. Always make a backup of your registry before making changes.

You can manually edit the registry via the following procedure:
1) Click on "Start" then "Run" from the pop-up menu. The Run window will appear and within it a text field. Type "regedit" (without the quotes) into the text field. Click "Ok"
2.) Click on the + sign beside the folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
3.) Click on the + sign beside the folder: Software
4.) Click on the + sign beside the folder: Mirabilis
5.) Click on the + sign beside the folder: ICQ
6.) Click on the Folder: DefaultPrefs
7.) Click on "Edit" -> then "New" from the pop-up menu -> then "String Value" from the sub menu.
8.) You will see a new value called "New Value #1" in the name column. Rename this value: MultiInstance
9.) Dbbl click on "MultiInstance"
10.) In the Value Data text window enter: Yes
11.) Click "Ok".
12.) Exit The registry.
