Hi,
This is a query rather than a fault or problem. As the title hints at, I would like to know if it is possible to add to my site software that can control a motorised webcam.
I got the idea from this site: http://www.standrews.com/webcams/cardiff.htm - this is on top of a hotel in my home town. There's an ad on that page to Webview Livescope, but this appears to be commercial, and I don't really want to buy software (who does?) if there are free alternatives.
Does anybody know of a) software that will do this, and b) how to incorporate it into my phpNuke site. I have researched cameras and can find a reasonably priced Logitek WebCam 4000, but if anyone knows of something similar, preferably that is good at night, I'd like to hear from you too.
The idea is to have a camera that I can control from work to watch my house (inside) then swivel to see the outside of the house, perhaps at night to keep an eye on my car/bike.
Thanks in advance for any info given.
p.s. Kudos, VinDSL for an excellent site! I haven't posted before, but have read great advice, and also just started to use your Coppermine Gallery on my site which is great. Thanks. |
